AUTO ELECTRICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION
Location: Tse Addo
Industry: Automobile
Reports to: General Manager
Our client is a well-known automobile garage in Accra.
Scope
The Auto Electrician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical issues monitoring inventory for electrical components inspecting and testing electrical systems and using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in vehicles (wiring batteries lighting ECUs etc.).
- Explain automotive problems and repairs to clients
- Inspect test and maintain electrical systems including batteries starters alternators and wiring
- Identify and recommend repairs or replacements for faulty electrical components
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
- Install and maintain electrical components
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Maintain an inventory of electrical components and supplies
- Follow safety standards and keep work organized
Requirements
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Automotive Electrical Technology Automobile Engineering or any related field of study
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or within the automotive industry
- Experience with Mercedes-Benz STAR/XENTRY is an added advantage
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems wiring and circuitry
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and use common diagnostic tools and equipment
- Willingness to learn and work with different vehicle brands
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
