You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Warehouse Associate and Forklift Operator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments in a warehouse environment. This role involves verifying materials against sales orders preparing documentation managing inventory and operating warehouse equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure materials are received inspected and placed in staging areas or put into correct locations
in stock.
Verify materials against invoices/bills of lading/purchase orders to ensure accuracy of delivery and
contact vendors to rectify discrepancies.
Perform inventory counts and work with other warehouse personnel to correct discrepancies.
Pick and pull parts for sales orders.
Prepare bills of lading and documentation for domestic and international shipping using various
shippers (UPS FedEx airfreight ground palletized and small packaging).
Use material-moving equipment such as pallet jacks forklifts and dollies to bring products and
materials to the appropriate location.
Help manage inbound and outbound shipping and logistics to and from job sites.
Coordinate with vendors expediters engineers forwarders and shipping companies to ensure
timely and safe delivery of cargo.
Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities from trucks.
Experience with Domestic and U.S. Customs International shipping.
Experience with several domestic and international shipping software packages i.e. UPS
Worldship FedEx Ship Manager is a plus.
Experienced in inventory and quarterly/yearly cycle counts.
Qualifications :
Required Skills and Qualifications
Some experience in shipping and receiving inventory control and warehouse operations.
Basic proficiency in using computer software for inventory updates and shipping documentation
(e.g. Google Sheets & Docs).
Forklift certification and experience with pallet jacks.
Basic ability to use woodworking tools to repair damaged wooden crates or to open and close
them.
Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures and documentation is a huge plus.
Ability to perform accurate inventory counts and manage inventory systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
