Opportunity at a Glance
The position is responsible primarily for external and internal graduation and degree audit operations for the Office of the Registrar. This position represents OTR with external and internal customers. It provides supervision to the Graduation Coordinators Degree Audit Coordinators and Academic Specialists. The position also includes responsibility for compliance with and education about FERPA and all other applicable laws and regulations. It is expected to provide management resulting in effective and timely communications excellent (internal and external) customer service improvement of office policies and procedures and on-going staff development.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between all student-facing units (academic advising SST admissions enrollment financial aid bursar).
- Regularly review develop and improve department policies and procedures.
- Participate in development implementation and maintenance of policies objectives short-and long-range planning; develop and implement projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.
- Manage metrics to measure staff skills productivity and services.
- Deal with internal and external customers directly.
- Collaborate with third party vendors.
- Responsible for FERPA education and compliance throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with Student System Specialist with all new programs and changes to existing programs.
- Create and maintain validation calendar for internal and external use.
- Back up office staff.
- Oversee supervision of personnel including work allocation training and problem resolution; evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions; motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Other related responsibilities as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree In Management or a related field Required.
- Masters Degree In Management or a related field Preferred.
- 7 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Required.
- Experience in staff development and assessment.
- Successful experience in a systems and customer service environment.
- Experience in university registrars or records environment.
- Experience in a for-profit educational environment preferred. Preferred
- Student Information System experience preferred. Banner experience a plus. Preferred
- Record of successfully assuming leadership role with peers and/or supervisees.
- Good problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Confidence and skill with large databases and student records.
- Microsoft Office skills preferred.
- Strong Excel Spreadsheet skills preferred.
Additional Information :
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country the expected salary range for this position is between $70696.34 and $124230.14. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
