At Hyde Perth the Executive Chef will lead the charge in shaping our culinary identitybringing together bold flavors creative presentation and immersive experiences that capture Hydes energy and style. From designing menus to building a powerhouse kitchen team youll be setting the tone for what will be one of the most talked-about dining destinations in Perth.
This is a role for a visionary chef and hands-on leader someone who is passionate about food thrives on collaboration and knows how to turn a great meal into a great memory.
Main Functions
- Lead and manage all culinary operations across the hotels restaurants bars and in-room dining Meeting & Event spaces ensuring delivery of exceptional quality and consistency.
- Develop creative seasonal and on-brand menus that reflect both local inspiration and Hydes global style.
- Oversee kitchen financials including food cost control labour planning inventory and budget management.
- Build train and inspire a high-performing kitchen team with a strong focus on development culture and excellence.
- Partner with the Director of R&B and F&B leadership to deliver seamless guest experiences and standout service.
- Work closely with PR marketing and brand teams to support culinary activations collaborations and events.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety hygiene and local health regulations maintaining the highest standards at all times.
- Collaborate with suppliers and partners to champion sustainability seasonality and ethical sourcing.
- Stay ahead of culinary trends and continually innovate to ensure Hyde Perth remains at the forefront of the local dining scene.
- Contribute to a culture of creativity curiosity and continuous improvement within the culinary team and beyond.
Qualifications :
ABOUT YOU
- 57 years of culinary experience in a high-end or lifestyle setting with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Pre-opening and Australian market experience are strong advantages.
- A culinary storytelleryour dishes have soul and you bring passion to everything you plate.
- Youre a hands-on collaborative leader who builds teams that thrive under pressure and have fun doing it.
- Youre commercially savvy and confident managing kitchen operations budgets and supplier relationships.
- Youre a great communicator who works well with Front of the House events marketing and senior leadership.
- You stay current on trends but know how to make them your own
- You take ownership of important issues solve problems and make effective decisions
