WHO WERE LOOKING FOR: We are seeking compassionate professional and motivated individuals to serve as Program Coordinators. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork accountability and making a difference in others lives. A flexible schedule is preferred as client needs may vary from several hours to several days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Personnel Management
- Assist in hiring and onboarding direct care staff
- Supervise House Managers and/or direct care staff
- Ensure appropriate staffing coverage in assigned homes
- Provide direct care coverage as needed
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: - Ensure staff are trained in all DDSD-required courses and client-specific care
- Coordinate in-service and interdisciplinary team (IDT) prescribed trainings
- Provide or arrange training in areas such as:
- IHP implementation & documentation
- Emergency procedures & on-call systems
- Abuse/neglect reporting
- Incident/accident documentation
PROGRAM OVERSIGHT: - Write implementation strategies for IHP goals assigned to residential services
- Attend all IDT meetings with consumer and data
- Schedule medical dental and therapeutic appointments
- Coordinate services with vocational providers and/or schools
- Maintain regular contact with case managers
- Ensure clients have seasonally appropriate clothing in good condition
QUALIFICATIONS: - Associates degree or higher preferred; High school diploma required
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
- Must pass background check (any prior convictions must be expunged/sealed)
- Valid drivers license and auto liability insurance required
- Ability to lift 1050 lbs and work in clients home environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
