About Capstan Therapeutics
Capstan is a biotechnology company with a mission to multiply the therapeutic possibilities for patients by developing targeted in vivo RNA technologies. Our proprietary CellSeeker tLNP platform technology is composed of novel LNPs conjugated with a recombinant protein binder such as a monoclonal antibody. tLNPs are designed to deliver payloads including mRNA or gene editing tools capable of reprogramming specific cell types in vivo. Capstans CellSeeker technology has the potential to generate transformative therapies with possible applications across a broad range of disease areas including autoimmune disorders oncology fibrosis and monogenic blood disorders.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Perform routine assays on development and stability samples in a timely manner following the corresponding analytical procedures. The assays include but are not limited to impurities particle size pH qPCR Westernblot cell culture.
Learn and follow good documentation practice and document analytical tests on lab notebooks timely and accurately
Read understand and follow analytical test instructions SOPs relevant regulations and safety policies
Review and ascertain analytical data to ensure reliable and accurate analytical data generated by lab analysts
Provide recommendations to improve analytical procedures SOPs and/or lab efficiency
Assist in planning and prioritizing analytical tests accordingly so that the project timelines are met Conduct other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a scientific discipline. Analytical Chemistry Biology major (cell molecular).
Previous academic/industry lab experience with pipetting/handling of materials is a plus
Able to commit at least 8-10 hours a week during the school year and up to 20-25 hours during the summer.
Strong communication organization and attention to detail
Motivated to learn and ask questions
