Job Description

Dual Diagnosis Program Coordinator Psychologist Grade 2/3

Part time position - 3 days per week

The Victoria Clinic is a state of the art purpose built inpatient mental health hospital which includes a rooftop gymnasium and recreation area. The Victoria Clinic provides a range of inpatient wellbeing and specialist programs which are growing to meet the needs of our patients and has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Psychologist to coordinate our Dual Diagnosis Program (DDP).

Are you a skilled and compassionate psychologist with experience in both mental health and alcohol and other drugs (AOD) The Victoria Clinic is seeking a dedicatedPsychologist to oversee and further develop our Dual Diagnosis Program supporting individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns.

About the Role:

As a DDP Coordinator you will provide clinical oversight and leadership to a multidisciplinary team supporting the delivery of a high-quality trauma-informed treatment program. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring clinical excellence supporting staff and fostering a therapeutic environment for patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design delivery and evaluation of evidence-based dual diagnosis interventions.
  • Provide supervision support and consultation to clinical staff within the program.
  • Conduct clinical assessments individual sessions and group facilitation
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists nursing staff and allied health professionals.
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.

About You:

  • Registered Psychologist with AHPRA (Clinical endorsement desirable but not essential).
  • Board-approved supervisor (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in AOD treatment and/or dual diagnosis.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and treatment modalities suited to comorbidity.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to support and mentor a clinical team.
  • Excellent interpersonal organisational and communication skills.
  • Desirable: Trained in Schema Therapy and/or EMDR.
