Responsibilities
Northridge Hospital Medical Center is hiring an ICU Registered Nurse to provide expert autonomous patient care within the ICU adhering to professional standards and contributing to the Dignity Health mission. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient-centered care adhering to all hospital policies legal guidelines and the Nurse Practice Act. The RN utilizes clinical expertise to assess plan implement and evaluate patient care collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Patient Care:Conducting thorough assessments developing individualized care plans administering medications performing treatments and monitoring patient responses.
- Collaboration:Communicating effectively with physicians other nurses and ancillary staff to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.
- Documentation:Accurately documenting patient information including assessments interventions and outcomes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Education:Educating patients and their families about their condition treatment plan and discharge instructions.
- Leadership:Providing guidance and support to other members of the healthcare team including CNAs and LPNs.
- Professional Development:Serving as a preceptor and role model for new nurses and nursing students.
- Quality & Safety:Participating in quality improvement initiatives and adhering to infection control protocols.
The RN also acts as an EHR resource and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year current acute care registered nursing experience in specialty area required.
- Current certification in specialty area preferred.
- Experience with open heart and balloon pump preferred.
- CCRN TNCC certification preferred.
- Experience with EHR (Cerner MediTech etc) preferred.
- Registered Nurse with current California License required.
- Current AHA BLS card required.
- ACLS EKG competency required.
- LA City Fire Care required within 90 days of hire.
This position is represented by SEIU L121 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
