POSITION SUMMARY

USA Lacrosse is looking for a Membership Coordinator to join our team to support the Membership and Regional Development teams. This position is critical in advancing USA Lacrosses Mission and Vision by providing comprehensive administrative and operational support across a wide range of functions including but not limited to membership operations member experience and acquisition and retention initiatives. You will foster strong relationships with internal teams and external partners including lacrosse programs and leagues to ensure effective sales and support to strengthen USA Lacrosses value proposition grow our member base and provide exceptional service to our members.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn and work alongside a team of passionate and dedicated team members for a Mission-based organization whose goal is to grow the sport of lacrosse across the country providing access to all. We are looking for local candidates only.

A Typical Day Looks Like

Member Relations & Communications

  • Acts as a key liaison for member and prospect engagement across regions and national initiatives. This includes drafting and distributing member communications in coordination with USA Lacrosses regional and marketing teams.
  • Partners cross-departmentally to plan member activations events and campaigns to promote value and community.
  • Gathers feedback via post-event surveys satisfaction assessments and focus groups to identify opportunities to strengthen USA Lacrosses value proposition.
  • Regularly attends USA Lacrosse events to represent the organization ensuring members and attendees have an exceptional experience.

Regional Leadership & Program Support

  • Supports Regional Directors in managing top accounts and prospects including verbal and written follow-up and project management of regional initiatives.
  • Monitors execution of account membership agreements and roster management for programs and leagues.
  • Manages logistics for key events including the USA Lacrosseevents and regional events/conferences.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Provides administrative support for the department including but not limited to the execution of acquisition and retention strategies and maintenance of member data in Salesforce. This includes assisting with budget tracking invoice submission and associated reporting.
  • Supports the membership department with calendar management event logistics meeting preparation and internal communications.
  • Assists with membership inquiries and issues ensuring timely resolution in coordination with internal departments.
  • Maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) forms and collateral for membership and regional programs. This includes overseeing and maintaining inventory levels for membership products.

Is This You

  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in an administrative or office management capacity preferably in a membership constituent services donor relations sales/marketing public relations or project management environment.
  • Previous work experience in a non-profit association management firm or other member-based organization a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products including Word Excel Outlook Teams and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM preferred.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and comfort with a growth mindset
  • Strong organizational skills attention to detail dedication to follow through and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience conducting research and collecting data to analyze the information to identify trends help solve problems and make recommendations for future opportunities for the organization a plus.
  • Strong communication skills including interpersonal verbal and written.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Must possess a strong customer first attitude.
  • Ability to exercise the appropriate level of discretion and judgment with the capability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information and materials.
  • Ability to present a professional persona and presence to build interpersonal relationships and establish credibility externally.
  • Ability to be flexible with your work schedule including the ability to work some nights and weekends based on USA Lacrosse events.
  • Willingness to learn about the sport of lacrosse and appreciate the need for developing funds to fuel its development and growth.
  • Ability to align with USA Lacrosses Mission Vision and Values and Strategic Plan to support our initiatives and organizational goals.

Expected Hours of Work

This position is generally expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm and occasionally requires longer hours or weekend work as related to events and other business needs. This is a hybrid position and works from the headquarters office in Sparks MD three (3) days a week with the flexibility to work from home two (2) days a week.

Compensation & Benefits Overview

The total compensation pay range (inclusive of base salary plus annual incentive pay potential) for this position is $40000 to $45000 (paid hourly) commensurate with experience.

USA Lacrosse offers a competitive benefits package including but not limited to:

  • Medical Dental and Vision insurance offering multiple options for Medical and Dental (eligible the first of the month following 30 days of employment).
  • Company paid Life and AD&D at one times an employees annual salary up to $50000 and company paid Long Term Disability (LTD) at one year of employment.

No relocation is provided for this role. Candidates must live within commutable distance to our headquarters in Sparks MD.

Travel Requirements

Travel may be necessary up to 10% of the time (local regional). Travel would involve the following mode(s) of travel: car train or air. Some out of area and overnight travel may be expected.
