PRE-SERVICE TRAINING:
All new candidates hired to the Department of Youth Services must complete three (3) weeks of paid pre-service training at our Training Academy in Orient Ohio. The training is Monday-Thursday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Travel lodging and meals are provided.
DYS is a qualifying employer for purposes of the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness PSLF program.
The Department of Youth Services (DYS) provides stability support safety and security for all youth and employees at DYS. Juvenile Parole Officers provide valuable experience and knowledge to the youth in our care.
We are recruiting for two Juvenile Parole Officers in our Southern Region. One position will be assigned to Hamilton Clermont Brown and Adams counties and the other will be assigned to Hamilton Clinton and Highland counties. Duties for the Juvenile Parole Officer include but are not limited to:

Undergraduate core coursework in criminal justice criminology social work sociology or related field; valid drivers license; and 6 mos. exp. in probation or parole case management &/or probation or parole crisis management.
