Job Description

Lead Production

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA an ASSA ABLOY branded company is looking for a Lead Production. This position will be responsible for directing the safe and efficient operation of department performing simple production operations. This position will also monitor and drive plant performance indicators and align priorities with production demand. This will be a 3rd shift position: Monday -7:30pm - 4:00am.

What you will be doing:

Maintain clean safe organized material storage areas.

Maintain equipment by planning and carrying out PMs as prescribed by documented procedure and by creating documented procedure for PMs wherever needed.

Produce products of exceptional quality by implementing QA approach to meeting company production objectives.

Provide leadership by example for all employees.

Coach and train employees in policy and procedure regarding safety quality and productivity in that order of importance.

Plan and assign daily tasks geared toward meeting daily schedule and departmental goals to area employees.

(Inventory Management) Control scrap logs in thrive and improve yearly inventory accuracy.

(Part Identification) All items are to be identified with correct part number or DNI.

Meet with and work with scheduling Planning Shipping Supervisors and inventory daily to assess needs to support today and future production.

Plan and document daily schedule of activities geared towards schedule attainment for all direct reports working the below areas.

Turn in daily receiving accurately and on time.

Review materials need daily and notify the Supervisor of shortfalls in product and materials at least one day in advance of days production.

Actively participate in process improvement projects geared toward cost savings in labor and materials.

Organize and plan for loading situations and make requests for additional manpower where needed at least two hours prior to production.

Review performance and attendance of line employees and Document performance and disciplinary actions.

The skills and experience you need:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience:

Two - Three years of experience in a position of similar responsibility in manufacturing.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes product designs safety quality and workflow needs.

Other:

Strong documentation skills reporting skills and computer skills.

The ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.

Ability to be a contributing and collaborative team member.

Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.

Ability to communicate production needs with other support groups.
