Overview:

Were on the hunt for a dynamic campus visit coordinatorofficially known as the Admissions Coordinator Campus Visits (AP25-059)to join the team responsible for creating outstanding visit experiences for every student and guest who sets foot on our beautiful campus. From managing the ins and outs of group visits to coordinating with departments across campus this role is your chance to shape the way students fall in love with SIUE.

What You Will Do:

Be the face of SIUE! Welcome prospective students families school counselors and guests with warmth professionalism and Cougar pride.

  • Support the visit program. Coordinate all aspects of the group visit experience and support daily visit operations.

  • Team up across campus. Collaborate with faculty staff and student organizations to schedule appointments and keep things running smoothly.

  • Lead the squad. Supervise a team of student staff and graduate assistants who support Office of Admissions functions and lead through excellent customer service.

  • Recruit with heart. Serve as a go-to admissions counselor advising and guiding prospective students through the admissions process.

  • Support recruitment efforts. Assist with territory management and recruitment events both on and off campus.

  • Think big-picture. Help shape strategic initiatives and continuously improve the visit experience.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution
Proven written and oral communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally in front of small and large groups and to provide workshops trainings and outreach programs.
Valid drivers license
Must be able to lift 30 pounds or more.
Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends.
Adherence to best practices set forth by NACAC IACAC and CIVSA

Preferred Qualifications:
One year of professional experience working in admissions campus visits student affairs or related area at a post-secondary institution
One year of professional experience related to customer service public speaking and/or public contact. 2-3 years of student experience in related role may meet this requirement.
Experience in event coordination
Experience managing a student team
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently

Additional Information:This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship. International students at SIUE on F-1 or J-1 visas are not eligible for full-time or part-time civil service positions with permanent status. F-1 and J-1 visa holders must be enrolled full-time and can only apply for temporary part-time roles working 20 hours or less per week during spring and fall semesters such as student worker positions assistantships and civil service extra help roles. SIUE is a state university and its important to highlight that benefits from state-sponsored plans may not be accessible to individuals on F1 or J1 visas.
