Job Summary
The Department of Mathematics in the College of Science at the University of Texas Arlington ( UTA ) invites applications for academic professional track ( APT ) non-tenure-track faculty positions beginning the Fall 2025 Semester . The APT faculty position is a full-time position at the rank of Lecturer for MS or MA candidates and Assistant Professor of Instruction rank for Ph.D. or Ed.D. candidates. Teaching excellence is expected for the position. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. In accordance with USCIS regulations successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the full-time APT faculty will include teaching undergraduate mathematics service courses and working closely with the Learning Resource Center in the Department of Mathematics. The minimum qualifications for APT faculty are an earned MS or MA in mathematics mathematics education or statistics. While outstanding applicants from all mathematical areas will be considered preference for the position will be given to those with significant experience in or a strong commitment to undergraduate mathematics teaching student engagement and mentoring.
Required Qualifications
For the rank of Lecturer: M.S. or M.A. in mathematics mathematics education or statistics with at least 18 credit hours of mathematics graduate coursework. For the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in mathematics mathematical education or statistics.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. or Ed.D. in mathematics mathematical education or statistics. Experience teaching entry-level mathematics courses.
