The School of Philosophy Psychology and Language Sciences is seeking to appoint a teaching focused lecturer in Psychology on a full-time fixed-termcontract until 31st of August 2026.
The Opportunity
The University of Edinburgh Psychology Department seeks to appoint a teaching focused lecturer in Psychology with the particular reference to supporting the teaching of Differential Psychology (such as personality and/or intelligence). Therole holder will contribute to and manage the delivery and organisation of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Psychology.
Your skills and attributes for success
- Experience of original research and teaching in a relevant area of Psychology supported by a relevant qualification (normally a PhD or equivalent; pending assumed complete maybe consider at time of application).
- Evidence of experience in teaching indicative of commitment to and potential for excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
- Engagement with the process of course/curriculum design and development.
- Evidence of investigative research and publication activities appropriate to career stage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
