Job in private family: June / July 2025
Location: Chelsea London
Position: Retainer Nanny
Salary: Please advise salary expectations
This busy family are looking for a loving professional and engaging Retainer Nanny with a mature approach to work on a retainer basis caring for two girls aged 18 months and 3 years. A new baby is due in August 2025 who will have their own dedicated night nanny. The elder daughter goes to a local nursery for five mornings per week and both children attend classes and activities locally. The family have membership of Purple Dragon as well as memberships to local outdoor spaces such as Burton Court the Chelsea Physic Gardens and Battersea Childrens Zoo.
The role will require the nanny to be available to cover any sickness as well as holiday cover (56 days) for the childrens two Rota Nannies who work on a 24/7 rota basis.
The Retainer Nanny who joins this family needs to have experience with children of similar ages. They need to be very happy to be flexible and able to adapt easily ensuring that consistency of care for the children is never compromised. The Nanny will need to have excellent organisational communication and teamwork skills. A Nanny who has experience of working in a rota / retainer position previously would be advantageous.
The role is a mixture of sole charge and shared care. All nursery duties are required including cooking and helping with nursery drop-off or pick up. The family employ a housekeeper who launders and irons the childrens clothes.
Accommodation when on duty comprises own bedroom / private toilet and shared bathroom with the children.
The Retainer Nanny needs to be happy to travel with the family when required.
