Job Description
Are you studying education or considering a career working with children Our Extended Day Program is a great place to gain hands-on experience in a school setting while making a real difference in students lives. As an Extended Day Teacher youll lead engaging age-appropriate activities and build the kind of classroom management and communication skills future teachers need- all in a supportive and fun environment.
Ravenscroft is a co-educational college preparatory day school pre Kindergarten through grade 12 located in Raleigh North Carolina.
What Youll Do:
- Supervise and actively engage with children during structured activities
- Plan and oversee age-appropriate crafts games and learning activities
- Foster a safe caring and inclusive environment
- Communicate daily with parents and families about childrens experiences
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Monitor student behavior and response with positive appropriate guidance
- Be alert to safety concerns and report any issues to the Director
- Assist in daily documentation of attendance incidents and any required reporting
What Were Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- College coursework in Early Childhood Education Child Development or relevant field preferred
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Genuine love for working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage groups of children with patience and consistency
- Comfortable working in a team environment
- Willingness to participate in trainings and professional development
