POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Manager is a key leader responsible for overseeing the execution of residential and light commercial roofing projects. This role ensures efficient scheduling material procurement adherence to safety and quality standards and seamless communication between clients crews and internal teams.
This position requires a results-driven individual who can lead teams optimize processes and ensure a world-class experience for our clients.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Project Coordination & Execution
Receive project details from the sales department and organize incoming jobs in order of receipt- Clarify project requirements products sold and client expectations with sales team
- Assign projects to the appropriate install teams or approved subcontractors
- Conduct pre-job walk-throughs to assess site conditions take interior/exterior photos and confirm job scope
- Monitor job progress using site visits and company-approved tracking tools
- Ensure adherence to building codes manufacturer specifications and company quality standards
2. Scheduling & Permitting
Work closely with the Office Manager to apply for necessary permits and approvals
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to ensure timely completion
- Coordinate with installation crews job site superintendents and drivers for seamless execution
- Pre-order special materials in advance and communicate any potential delays to customers
3. Materials & Resource Management
Collaborate with the Project Manager to order accurate material counts and minimize waste- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper on-site storage
- Verify installation methods align with manufacturer guidelines and team capabilities
4. Quality Control & Compliance
Conduct job site visits to ensure workmanship meets company standards- Utilize checklists progress tracking and company cam to maintain accountability
- Execute change orders when additional work is required outside the original scope
- Ensure teams adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean job site
5. Client Communication & Experience
Provide clients with daily progress reports and milestone updates- Share pre-screened before-and-after photos to showcase workmanship
- Address client concerns promptly and maintain a professional solution-driven approach
- Ensure clear proactive communication to enhance client satisfaction
6. Team Leadership & Culture
Foster a high-energy positive work environment that aligns with company values- Lead by examplemaintain professionalism eliminate gossip and focus on solutions
- Motivate teams to perform at a high level and take pride in their work
- Emphasize safety efficiency and attention to detail on every job site
7. Training & Development
Conduct bi-weekly 1-on-1 coaching sessions with team members- Implement Performance Progress Forms (PPFs) to track growth and accountability
- Train and develop team members to elevate skillsets and prepare for advancement

WHAT YOU BRING
4 years of experience in construction project management roofing or a related field- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive results
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
- Clear and professional communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficiency in scheduling material procurement and quality assurance processes
- A proactive solutions-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency
- Familiarity with building codes permit requirements and safety protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn adapt and continuously improve
