Job Description
Job Title: Frontend Developer
Location: Toronto Ontario (Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote)
Client: Government of Ontario
The Government of Ontario is seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer to design develop and implement user-centric interfaces and front-end components for large-scale web applications. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work three days per week and remote work two days per week.
Responsibilities-
Design and develop responsive accessible and user-friendly front-end interfaces.

Translate technical system specifications into working tested applications.

Develop detailed programming specifications write and generate code and conduct unit testing.

Troubleshoot and resolve front-end technical issues during implementation conversion and deployment phases.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Ensure compatibility across multiple browsers and devices.
-
Build and test RESTful APIs and integrate with authentication systems like Azure AD B2C and Okta.

Contribute to defining product strategy roadmap and partnership opportunities.

Provide technical documentation and post-implementation support.

Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript

Proven experience building and testing RESTful APIs

Working knowledge of Jamstack Architecture

Experience developing Progressive Web Apps (PWA)

Knowledge of Agile methodologies especially Kanban and Scrum

Working knowledge of Azure and related cloud services

Experience creating front-end functionality for user profiles notifications and self-service portals

Experience in application design development debugging and documentation

Background in large-scale systems with complex front-end requirements

Familiarity with structured development methodologies and best practices

Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

Proven track record working with diverse business stakeholders and technical teams

Experience with middleware gateways and RAD methodologies

Experience conducting design walkthroughs and product testing

Familiarity with social media APIs and defining product strategy

Ability to assess third-party partnerships and licensing opportunities
