You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Maintenance Technician will play a key role in maintaining and operating essential building systems in a critical facility. This includes HVAC electrical plumbing and life safety equipment. The position is on a rotating Front Half schedule with 12-hour day shifts 6:00 AM 6:00 PM) Sunday through Wednesday one week and Monday through Wednesday the next. This rotating schedule ensures 24/7 facility coverage.
Candidates must be open to converting to night shifts on a quarterly basis if transitioned to a permanent role with JLL.
This is a hands-on role best suited for individuals with strong commercial electrical experience some mechanical knowledge and a keen understanding of working in a procedure-driven safety-focused environment.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including:
Electrical (lighting UPS PDU generators switchgear)
Mechanical (HVAC chilled water refrigeration controls)
Plumbing and fire/life safety systems
Monitor operations record system readings and escalate issues when necessary.
Analyze system performance and execute corrective procedures as needed.
Read and interpret schematics and one-line diagrams.
Utilize MS Word and Excel to create maintenance logs and troubleshoot documentation.
Escort and assist third-party vendors during on-site maintenance and repair work.
Maintain critical systems including UPS systems generators and motor controls.
Ensure compliance with SDS protocols for handling hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
Oversee contractors and ensure adherence to building policies and protocols.
Follow Critical Facility Work Authorization (CWA) and Stop Work processes.
Comply with emergency escalation and safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Strong hands-on electrical experience in a commercial setting is required.
Mechanical knowledge (HVAC plumbing etc. is required.
Basic experience with critical systems (UPS generators switchgear) preferred.
Computer literacy especially with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
A commitment to safety professionalism and continuous improvement.
Experience in the trades: Electrical Mechanical Industrial or Controls.
Prior experience in a data center or other critical facility is a plus but not required.
