You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailLocation: Delhi Experience Required: 5–6 years Posi/on Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory & Stock Accountant to manage and optimize our inventory processes across raw materials (R.M) work-in-progress (W.I.P) and finished goods (F.G). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory tracking stock reconciliations and accounting treatments related to stock movements including defective and scrap materials.
Key Responsibili/es
• Manage daily activities related to inventory receiving storing and issuing across multiple stages—R.M W.I.P and F.G.
• Record stock entries and movements in the inventory and accounting systems with high accuracy.
• Maintain and update inventory records in the accounting software in real time.
• Conduct regular stock audits verify physical counts and reconcile discrepancies with system data.
• Record and maintain purchase invoices related to inventory procurement.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure optimal stock levels and improve inventory planning.
• Analyze stock data to identify usage trends slow-moving items and opportunities for optimization.
• Ensure accurate accounting treatment of defective and scrap stock in accordance with internal policy and standards.
• Maintain familiarity with and operate inventory software or ERP systems effectively.
Requirements
• 5–6 years of hands-on experience in inventory accounting and stock management.
• Expertise in managing stock lifecycle from Raw Material to Work-in-Progress to Finished Goods.
• Proficient in recording purchase invoices and integrating inventory records with accounting systems.
• Strong analytical skills for stock reconciliation and trend analysis.
• Prior experience with inventory management software or ERP systems (e.g. Tally SAP Zoho Marg) is a strong advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting standards related to inventory including handling defective and scrap materials.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in manufacturing or production-based companies.
• Familiarity with inventory audit processes and compliance standards.
• Ability to collaborate across procurement stores and finance functions
