JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Physician General Cardiology

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Flagstaff AZ

Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital Cardiovascular Institute

Coverage Type: Clinical Call

Coverage Period: June 23 2025 December 23 2025

Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

On-Call Shift Schedule: 1 2 weekends per month

Call Type: Rotational (weekend)

Call Ratio: 1 2 weekends/month

Patient Demographics: Primarily age 60

Patient Volume/Census: 16 20 patients/day

Admissions: Yes

Rounding: Yes

Phone Consults: Yes

Case Mix: General cardiology

FACILITY INFORMATION

No. of Beds in Department: Hospital has 268 beds

EMR System: Cerner

Office Equipment Available: Standard cardiology diagnostics and treatment equipment

Specialty Backup Available: 2 other cardiologists on staff

Support Staff Available: Full hospital support team

Reason for Coverage: Locum coverage for general cardiology need

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 30 days

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General cardiology evaluations and ongoing management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: AZ license or IMLC accepted

Certifications: ACLS BLS

Experience: Minimum 2 years

Other Qualifications: Board Certification in General Cardiology preferred; strong interpersonal skills required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide full-time general cardiology care in a hospital setting

Manage 16 20 patients per day

Participate in call rotation 1 2 weekends per month

Collaborate with fellow cardiologists and hospital staff

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR
