Job Description
Deciphera is seeking a Manager Commercial Finance to be based in Waltham MA the companys headquarters. The Manager Commercial Finance will support the companys Commercial Finance function to support the companys current products on the market QINLOCK and ROMVIMZA and prepare for multiple product launches planned over the next several years. This is a position that provides exposure to Revenue recognition Gross to Net and commercial OPEX.
The successful candidate will have experience in bio-pharmaceutical industry. S/he will possess strong organizational and communication skills
This position reports to the Director Commercial Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue recognition gross to net accounting and financial reporting of monthly/quarterly results.
- Monthly review of commercial Operating expense budget to actuals
- Support efforts to build the Companys capability to provide revenue guidance and report against such guidance by Day 3 of the close
- Partner with Accounting and Commercial counterparts on all aspects of Revenue Reporting. Includes working with multiple data systems reviewing sales orders to determine gross-to-net assumptions (government rebate programs returns reserve and other adjustment to revenue).
- Lead collaboration revenue process including calculating reimbursements and invoicing partners.
- Prepare internal reporting packages for revenue and commercial OPEX for monthly review with internal leadership and Japanese counterparts.
- Support Director of Commercial finance in analyzing key strategic areas including pricing dynamics and contract administration.
- Assist with special projects and analysis. Advocate for continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical business including drug development and commercialization.
- General accounting knowledge with some knowledge of Revenue Recognition and Gross to Net.
- Ability to analyze data sets from multiple sources.
- Comfort working with incomplete data and comfortable making assumptions to draw conclusions.
- Flexibility and ability to leverage ad hoc financial opportunities and innovative thinking to adapt to rapidly evolving situations and fulfill challenging timelines.
- Excellent communications skills written and verbal including summarizing and simplifying complex detailed financial analysis.
- Strong technology skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite reporting software and ERP systems (Oracle).
- Desire to learn on the job and willing to work outside of ones comfort zone
Additional Information :
Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $117000 - $162000. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors including but not limited to depth of experience education skillset overall performance and/or location.
