A Day In the Life at NPDL:
As our Business Performance Manager for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) youll play a pivotal role in driving strategic financial insights across our organisation. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders such as the Senior Executive Team equipment technical & marine divisions sales teams and Corporate Finance youll leverage Power BI to deliver comprehensive performance reports and conduct detailed cost analyses. Your expertise will be crucial in unraveling financial drivers enabling you to craft insightful recommendations that directly influence senior management decision. This role is based in our Parnell office but consideration may be given to other locations.
Here are some activities youll do:
- Partner across the business providing business performance monitoring analysis and insights and an ongoing program of process improvement in relation to finance functions
- Utilize platforms including CargoWise Oracle Fusion EPBCS and PowerBI to develop value-added reporting tools
- Ensures a high standard of performance management delivered ensuring continuous improvement across all KPIs
- Take large quantities of financial data and analytic results and condense them into a coherent story with clear easy-to-understand conclusions and implications
- Collaborate with cost and revenue centre managers to monitor budget adherence and ensure good financial decision-making
- Understand financial operations of the business and educate others inside and outside the Finance/Accounting group about the financial performance of their respective area
- Focus on key performance indicators and/or ongoing process improvement opportunities by challenging status quo and recommends alternative solutions
- Assist in the development and execution of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts focusing on underlying business drivers key financial and operating metrics and sensitivity analysis
- Provide support to the business in areas of mergers & acquisitions analysis and due diligence
- Assist with ad-hoc analytical projects
Qualifications :
Heres what youll bring to the table:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration Economics or a related field; MBA and/or CPA is preferred; understanding of GAAP standards and procedures is a benefit
- 8 years of relevant experience in FP&A or related field
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills as well as strong and meticulous analytics and strategic thinking skills
- Collaborative team player strong relationship-building and active partnership with cross-functional teams
- A hands-on approach working with the team to produce high quality work products; we are a detail-oriented organization and will drill to invoice-level data when needed
- Meet all deadlines/deliverables; we are a fast-paced environment with strict timetables to ensure we complete all assigned work
- Outstanding verbal/written communication presentation organizational and teamwork skills are required
- Ability to build and maintain internal customer relationships; works well with others collaborative and cooperative
- Self-starter with ability to work independently high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to interact regularly with department leadership and senior executives and must be able to do so in a confident and professional manner
