Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Consultant to join our team in the vertical utilities sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales or pre-sales excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the utilities industry. This role involves identifying sales opportunities developing strategic sales plans and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

What youll be doing

 

These activities aim to effectively target and serve clients in the utilities vertical leading to successful sales and long-term relationships.

 

  1. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Understand the specific needs challenges and trends within the utilities sector mainly retail of energy and gas
    • Identify key players and decision-makers in the industry.
  2. Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Use various channels such as industry events online platforms and networking to identify potential clients 
    • Develop a list of qualified leads based on offer/demand criteria.
  3. Building Relationships:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in utility companies 
    • Regularly engage with clients through meetings calls and follow-ups to understand their needs and build trust.
  4. Solution Selling:
    • Tailor sales pitches to highlight how products or services can address the specific challenges faced by utility companies 
    • Demonstrate the value and ROI of the solutions offered.
  5. Proposal Development:
    • Prepare detailed proposals and presentations that align with the clients needs and industry standards 
    • Customize proposals to address specific pain points and offer tailored solutions.
  6. Negotiation and Closing:
    • Negotiate terms and conditions to reach mutually beneficial agreements 
    • Close deals by addressing any final concerns and ensuring all parties are satisfied with the terms.
  7. Customer Support and Follow-Up:
    • Provide ongoing support to clients post-sale to ensure successful implementation and satisfaction 
    • Follow up regularly to address any issues and explore opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  8. Staying Informed:
    • Keep up-to-date with industry developments regulatory changes and technological advancements 
    • Continuously improve knowledge and skills to better serve clients.
  9. Interact with Sales Operations and Finance;
    • Collaborate to revenue forecasting and budgeting processes used within the sales organization establishing high levels of quality accuracy and consistency
    • Partnering with Finance for reporting invoicing and collection
  10. Interact with Product Strategy and Delivery

Qualifications :

  • Degree or equivalent standard 
  • Sales or Pre-sales experience gained with customer facing activities towards the utility industry or similar 
  • Existing portfolio of contacts towards credit and fraud executives will be positively considered
  • 7-8 years of knowledge and practical experience selling similar technologies and/or services
  • Excellent communicator with a customer understanding attitude
  • Strong knowledge of sales and negotiating principles
  • English Fluent
