Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Relief Chef to join our culinary team in Guildford United Kingdom. As a Relief Chef you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations across various locations ensuring consistent high-quality food preparation and service.
- Prepare cook and present food to the highest standards adhering to our organisations recipes and guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety procedures
- Collaborate with existing kitchen teams to support daily operations and maintain smooth service
- Assist in managing inventories monitoring budgets and implementing action plans as needed
- Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments menus and cooking styles
- Support and supervise kitchen staff when required fostering a positive and efficient work atmosphere
- Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining food quality and presentation standards
- Respond flexibly to changing work locations and schedules as per organisational needs
Qualifications :
- Proven experience
- Ideally a recent background with the corporate contract catering sector
- Excellent creative culinary skills
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills
- Proficiency in food cost management
- Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
- Works according to the BaxterStorey core value
