SCHEDULE:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Demonstrates responsible actions and initiatives and promotes successful relationships to positively impact patient/customer care.
Communicates to department manager and supervisor regarding questions and concerns with daily operations and serves as a liaison between patient and therapy team members.
Demonstrates competency with assisting therapists with patient care tasks as appropriately delegated by the supervising therapist.
Demonstrates proficiency at registering and scheduling therapy patients and manages patient flow with schedule maintenance. Proactively problem solves access issues that arise when scheduling including adjusting schedules to utilize unused time due to cancellations and to accommodate patient needs.
Takes ownership of department cleaning tasks and maintains cleaning logs and temperature logs to ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.
Completes reports and performs data collection as assigned by department manager and/or supervisor.
Manages registration and scheduling error work queues to facilitate a clean-claim billing process.
Observes legal and ethical guidelines to safeguard the confidentiality of patient and proprietary ThedaCare information
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Must be 18 years of age
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move freely (standing stooping walking bending pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance
Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Occasional exposure to sharp objects and instruments
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock
Occasional high noise level in work environment
Possible exposure to communicable diseases hazardous materials and pharmacological agents
Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients
Occasional exposure to heat sources such as hot water for splinting or heat gun
Position requires compliance with department specific competencies.
