The SAP System role is a vital part of the organization s operations particularly for a robust and efficient business environment. With a focus on remote collaboration the individual in this role will leverage their extensive experience spanning 10 or more years to oversee implement and optimize SAP systems. This role not only involves ensuring that the SAP software solutions align with business needs but also plays a crucial role in data management reporting accuracy and systems integration. The SAP System expert will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive reliability and adaptability in SAP processes while continuously assessing opportunities for improvement. By facilitating knowledge sharing and training among team members this role ensures that the organization remains competitive and adept in utilizing the advanced features offered by SAP solutions. Ultimately the SAP System role is imperative for maintaining operational excellence and supporting the overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP implementation projects from conception through to deployment.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance SAP functionalities.
- Monitor system performance and resolve any arising technical issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation on SAP processes.
- Oversee system upgrades and patch management tasks.
- Provide training and support to end-users on SAP applications.
- Conduct regular audits of SAP processes to ensure compliance.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and understand their needs.
- Ensure data integrity within the SAP systems by monitoring data conversion.
- Drive process improvement initiatives within SAP frameworks.
- Assist in the creation of business reports and analytics from SAP data.
- Implement change management strategies related to SAP functionalities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for SAP applications.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 10 years of hands-on experience with SAP system implementation and management.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g. FI CO SD MM).
- Proven project management experience with SAP-related projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in change management and user training.
- Familiarity with data migration and system integration processes.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of SAP best practices and governance frameworks.
- Strong documentation skills for technical and user-facing materials.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative remote team setting.
- Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting in SAP.
- Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies in SAP.
- Certification in SAP (e.g. SAP Certified Application Associate) preferred.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related activities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
