Job Description
Maize South High School is seeking a School Counselor for the 2025-26 school year. Candidates should be licensed by KSDE as a School Counselor or be eligible for a waiver.
Maize has a lotto offereducators new to the district and those new to the profession. Allnew educators are matched with aqualified mentor and both the mentor and mentee are supported by our team of Student Support Specialists and Instructional Coaches. Neweducators also participate in 8 half day professional development opportunities throughout the school year.
Oureducators are encouraged to continue to learn and grow. We offer a professional learning series that qualifies for college credits. Tuition reimbursement is also a great perk!
Safe and well maintained facilities are another great feature found in the Maize district. The intermediate middle and high schools all have school resource officers and all schools have physical safety features built in. The two intermediate schools are in their second year and were designed to allow amazing collaboration. The district also recently opened an aquatics and performing arts center that houses our staff workout facility.
