The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Chief of Staff to support the Experimental Systems Group Program Management Office in Seal Beach CA.
Experimental Systems Group (ESG) is a multi-site multi-program organization which includes the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV) Program and other proprietary programs. The ESG Chief of Staff acts as a key strategic advisor for the ESG Sr. Leadership team. This role drives the organizational strategy and efficiency operational battle rhythm and provides special project leadership. It requires strong project management / organizational skills and demonstrated ability to interface and collaborate with all levels.
Position Responsibilities:
The ability to analyze and summarize data for executive consumption multitask effectively and use sound judgment to execute complex tasks with minimal guidance
Experience requesting inputs and developing executive-level presentations and facilitating leadership meetings
Anticipates needs of the Director and their Sr Leadership Team for scheduled events presentations discussions and recurring processes; research prepare socialize and review materials as appropriate for the event
Plans and coordinates meetings prepare agendas follow up on action items
Strong people skills to drive alignment across all ESG sites combined with a high level of discretion in handling confidential information
Professionalism in dealing with senior leaders persuasive written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
Maintains pulse on site culture employee sentiment assist with employee engagement activities and make suggestions for employee recognition
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5 years experience writing communications for senior executives and other leaders
5 years experience in a role that required organizational skills with the ability to prioritize facilitate and coordinate multiple projects
Anticipate and head off challenges by scanning the horizon
5 years experience organizing facilitating and executing large meetings or events with executive and senior customer stakeholders
Experience in influencing and building strong relationships with senior business leaders and collaborating with Senior Level/Executive Level Management and Government Customers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher
Experience developing and executing operating rhythms integrated program schedules project plans and/or metrics
Experience with program management project management and/or business operations
Demonstrated leadership ability in formal or informal roles within the Boeing Company or in outside activities
Work Location:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach CA.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
