The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Leads supervises and develops the Consolidations team of 4responsible for the consolidated financial statements and consolidation tool (OneStreamXF).
- Responsible for coordinating the global monthly close processes across all regions and functions
- Reviews the consolidated financial reports and related disclosures in compliance with US GAAP and applicable SEC rules and regulations in conjunction with Chemours quarterly and annual financial statements
- Reviews balance sheet and income statement cash flow statements other comprehensive income equity statement and guarantor financial statements to ensure completeness and accuracy of the global financials
- Manage and oversee the administration of the Consolidation tool OneStreamXF
- Responsible for the timely completion of the monthly account reconciliation process
- Ensures effective internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with SOX policies for close and consolidation activities
- Coordinates information sharing among Corporate accounting Treasury Tax and Legal to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Reviews high level flux and analysis process of consolidated financial statements
- Acts as resource for major business unit and corporate initiatives
- Identify and initiate process improvement items for functional productivity and simplification
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with cross functional team members business process owners Tax Treasury Internal Auditors and External Auditors. Lead motivate and support cross-functional team to support business to accomplish goals and objectives
- Coordinate the implementation and understanding of new accounting standards
- Interact with global controllership and independent public accountants on audit matters
- Other areas of review (certain account reconciliations manual journal entries etc.)
The following is required for this role:
- Bachelors Degree in Business / Accounting
- 10 years combined industry and public accounting experience
- Experience addressing Sarbanes Oxley internal controls requirements including successful remediation of control deficiencies
- Self-directed and accountable
- Ability to serve as a team leader and manage projects independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical skills
- Works well in teams with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- Strong oral written and interpersonal skills
The following is preferred for this role:
- Familiarity with SAP and OneStream XF
- Certified Public Accountant or MBA
