Job Description

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: Maple Grove MN

Shift: Days (Hours within 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Weekend Requirements: None

On-Call Requirements: None

Hourly Rate: $22.23 - $27.37 (Based on years of experience)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Family Medicine Clinic in Maple Grove MN. As a CMA you will manage patient flow support providers in delivering care and perform delegated clinical and clerical duties in accordance with Minnesota Board of Nursing and Medical Practice standards.

You will work collaboratively with providers nurses clinic supervisors and managers to deliver high-quality patient-centered care to individuals across the lifespan-from infants to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care:

  • Room patients and support standard patient flow.
  • Administer immunizations injections and medications as directed.
  • Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic clinic lab tests.
  • Support telephone triage and facilitate patient-provider communication.
  • Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
  • Perform phlebotomy and x-ray duties (if certified).

Clinic Support:

  • Provide front desk/check-in support when needed.
  • Order and stock medical and office supplies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the medical record system.

Compliance and Professionalism:

  • Adhere to Code of Conduct and compliance policies.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and information security.
  • Report concerns and follow all legal regulatory and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
  • Previous clinic experience preferred.
  • Phlebotomy and/or x-ray certification a plus (dependent on clinic needs).
  • Excellent communication teamwork and organizational skills.
