The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) was set up to promote molecular biology across Europe and to create a centre of excellence for training Europes leading young molecular biologists. It is a non-profit intergovernmental organisation funded by 28 member states with funding secured from external funding bodies.
Your role
You will be a crucial resource to support operating and developing the EMBL Compliance Office. Compliance Office mission is to support management to ensure that activities regulations policies and procedures capture and reflect a complete and accurate view of the legal requirements contractual obligations and the Laboratorys internal standards. Under the supervision of EMBLs Compliance Manager You will provide advisory to EMBLs administrative departments and scientific units at all EMBL sites.

We expect that you engage with various internal stakeholders and integrate well with EMBL-world therefore we expect that you work from EMBL headquarters in Heidelberg Germany at least three days a week subject to further arrangements with the supervisor. We will expect that you are ready to travel up to 2 times a year to other EMBL sites.
Contract length:3 years (renewable to a maximum of 9 years)
Salary: Grade 5 or 6 depending on qualification and experience; monthly salary from 3.92504 EUR after tax excluding personal pension and insurance contributions. Plus financial allowances based on family circumstances.
