Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing U.S. Federal Government business.
As a Sr. Solutions Architect within AWS you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to advance our customers mission through the use of AWS services (e.g. Amazon EC2 Amazon S3 Amazon RDS Amazon Bedrock HPC etc.) working directly with our ecosystem of systems integrators consulting and technology partners. You will accomplish this as part of a cross-functional team with strong sense of building art of possible proof of concepts (PoCs) to solve customers problems.
The Solutions Architects on our team provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the Federal Government markets while working with a sales and business development team. They lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community. You get to learn from collaborate with and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture!
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that after start the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

- 8 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- 3 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Current active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
- 5 years of infrastructure architecture database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
