Description
The Department of English Communication Culture and Art at Western New England University invites applications to fill an opening for Adjunct Professor of Art in the fall 2025 semester.
The department seeks a candidate who can teach at least one online section of a single three-credit studio art course in introductory drawing. The course may meet synchronously or asynchronously depending on the instructors preference. The ideal candidate will have a Masters in Fine Arts degree; prior experience teaching drawing to undergraduate students in an online setting; and a demonstrable dedication to student success.
The successful candidate will also need to craft a syllabus that satisfies the learning objectives associated with the universitys new creative expression general university requirement which will come into effect beginning with the 2025-26 academic year.
Qualifications
Candidates must have at minimum a Masters degree in Fine Arts; at least five years of experience in teaching drawing at the post-secondary level; and at least two years of experience in teaching drawing at the post-secondary level online. Candidates who will contribute to diversity on campus in all its forms are especially welcome to apply.
