Job Description:
Job Summary: The Composite Technician Lead will perform quality aircraft maintenance and/or repairs in compliance with all applicable Code of Federal Regulations Repair Station Procedures Customer Requirements and Manufacturers Recommendations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform composite/structural repairs IAW approved documents utilizing required tooling and materials.
Monitor and maintain attendance records monitor performance complete proficiency appraisals audit and approve weekly work records of assigned crew.
Evaluate vacation requests against scheduling I manpower requirements and respond as needed.
Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and other to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the Company Team Member Safety Manual.
Maintain and track budgets as set by Project Manager.
Communicate problem areas and resolve conflicts and discrepancies.
Education and Experience:
Experienced with Maintenance Manuals illustrated parts Catalog Blueprints ATA Codes Service Bulletins routine and non-routines and other related maintenance documents.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read write and communicate in the English language.
Able to operate safely all ground support equipment (i.e. Main Lifts Scissor Lifts etc.) and possess the Company operating certification.
Able to do hot bond repairs with Heatcon hot bonders
Able to do metal prep and metal bonds on wing with hot bonders
Able to co composite material hot bonds with hot bonders
Able to read and understand manual references for assigned jobs
Able to be at work on time and when needed with reliable transportation
Must have own tools
Must be punctual
Able to do wet layups
Must be able to keep work areas clean
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs. Subject to continual loud noises. Must be able to bend stoop kneel and stand for prolonged periods of time climb steps ladders and/or service stands.
Visual Acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected.
Normal or corrected hearing is required.
