Overview:

  • Full-time Continuing position
  • Salary HEW 5 ($77830- $89403) 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

About the Role

This role is responsible for supporting day to day activities within the College and Schools as part of the Planning and Operations team.

The Service Support Officer will work under the direction of the Workforce Planning Coordinator to provide a broad range of administrative and resource support functions which support the effective operation of the College and Schools.

This role will provide support to academic and professional staff in administrative and system processes associated with HR finance and procurement. The role will guide and coach colleagues through these processes resolve issues identified and undertake specific administrative tasks on their behalf.

This role will connect with work with various stakeholders and teams including College Office staff School staff and RMIT central services teams.

To be successful in this position youll have:

  • Experience in providing high-level administrative support in a university environment or similar large and complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of quality customer service including sound knowledge and consistent application of relevant University policy and procedures and the ability to provide advice.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to take the initiative inidentifying and pursuing opportunities to improve existing practices and services.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of groups both internal and external to the University.

Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
