Job Description
Reports to: Special Services Director and Special Services Assistant Director
General Summary: Plans and administers occupational therapy under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist for students with disabilities who have been identified through a case conference committee decision to require occupational therapy
Essential Functions:
- Assess students strength developmental levels motor development sensory perception range of motion self-care and social skills.
- Records and collects data to develop or revise treatment plans.
- Evaluates designs or adapts materials equipment or the educational environment to meet students needs.
- Consults with parents teachers paraprofessionals and other related services personnel.
- Completes documentation as required.
- Submits Medicaid reimbursement billing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational therapist Assistant program with an associates bachelors masters or doctorate degree
- NBCOT certification
- current Indiana COTA license
- Valid Drivers License.
Length of Position:
- Monday-Friday throughout the school year for a total of 185 school days.
