DescriptionDeputy Program Manager (DHA)
This position requires being able to obtain an active Public Trust clearance.
Works with Program Manager in leading various facets of program management including but are not limited to compiling technical financial and other project data using various database programs; tracking project deliverables; and coordinating project related activities between the PM customers and the business leadership to ensure performance standards and customer requirements are met. Serves as direct interface between program customers daily in support of the contract program manager and project.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Deputy Program Manager: $110000 to $120000
Pay commensurate with experience.

Deputy Program Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Temporarily performs Program Manager duties as needed.
- Supports program development and management including scheduling budgeting performance and workload distribution.
- Maintains daily communication with customers on delivery and production schedules.
- Assists with risk mitigation strategies and solution development for assigned programs.
- Prepares and delivers presentations to customers and senior leadership.
- Participates in technical meetings and briefings with internal/external stakeholders.
- Oversees general administrative functions such as document management correspondence and database upkeep.
- Leads project staff ensures effective and secure operations and monitors task execution and quality.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities and helps compile reports and budget data.
- Ensures adherence to policies and procedures manages staffing needs and maintains departmental records.
- Builds strong relationships across departments and supports overall office functions.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned but not limited to:
- Respond to administrative inquiries and refer all technical matters to the Government lead or Subject Matter Expert (SME). Within three working days of task assignment screen complex correspondence and reports prepared for signature to ensure clarity completeness of reply and compliance with office administrative procedures and policy;
- Thoroughly research information to be presented in oral presentations and make recommendations regarding topics and presentation approach;
- Assist the appropriate Government program lead in drafting briefings presentation speeches talking points read-ahead packets and other required material for meetings that will range from single page documents to complex multi-section reports;
- Provide final draft products to the Government lead for approval five business days prior to the established suspense date;
- Assist the appropriate Government program lead in thoroughly researching information to be presented in written format to include concise and articulate responses to written and oral inquiries and internally generated documents (i.e. progress reports concept papers issue papers memorandums information papers reports)
Deputy Program Manager Experience Education Skills Abilities requested:
- Bachelors degree in Project Management Business Administration Health Care or Leadership or related field is preferred
- Three to five (3-5) years of leadership supervisor experience/project management required.
- Knowledge of DHA Functions and/or higher headquarters level at Department of Defense (DoD)/Military Branch HQs
- Must possess excellent follow-through skills.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and assignments efficiently work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong attention for detail.
- Must be motivated and able to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
- Ability to lead and be a team-oriented professional with mission-driven approach.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
