AWS has the most services and more features within those services than any other cloud providerfrom infrastructure technologies like compute storage and databasesto emerging technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence data lakes and analytics and Internet of Things. AWS Platform is the glue that holds the AWS ecosystem together. Whether its Identity features such as access management and sign on cryptography console builder & developer tools and even projects like automating all of our contractual billing systems AWS Platform is always innovating with the customer in mind. The AWS Platform team sustains over 750 million transactions per second.
If you are a software engineer who is obsessed about giving customers the best possible developer experience would like to work with C/C and is excited about building open-source software in a agile environment this is the job for you.
We are looking for engineers who can work with C on day to day basis are knowledgeable in other languages (e.g. Java Python Typescript or Python) and be engaging with open source community. You will be a good fit if you want to enable other developers to build amazing products on top of AWS.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
