Job Description
RECYCLING SORTER
Recyling company in Portland is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented sorters to join our team. Sorters play a crucial role in the waste management process by ensuring that materials are accurately sorted for recycling and disposal.
Responsibilities:
Sort various materials including recyclables and waste ensuring proper categorization for processing.
Clean and sanitize work areas regularly to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Collaborate with team members to optimize sorting efficiency and adhere to safety protocols.
Pulling materials from a conveyor belt
Conduct basic maintenance on sorting equipment and report any malfunctions.
Standing your whole shift working on a raised platform conveyor belt
Working in a very dusty industrial and smelly environment
Qualifications:
Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting of materials.
Ability to clean and sanitize equipment and workspaces effectively.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday *SometimesSaturdaysmay be required
6:45am Start Time *Sometimes working 10/12-hour shifts depending on production
