Job Description
Overview
At CHI Health Midlands we proudly serve Sarpy County and surrounding areas in Nebraska with patient-focused care. When designing our facility we kept the patient viewpoint in mind setting a tone for a more comfortable less stressful hospital stay. We provide our patients with some of the highest quality scores in the country in heart and vascular emergency and surgical care. Also we offer high quality care in diagnostics/radiology womens care home care orthopedics sleep and breathing disorders.
This position will work only at special events for Werner Park sport events at the first aid station and will not be working directly in the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Assesses treats and provides transportation to patients according to established State of Nebraska Emergency Medical Services rules and regulations State of Nebraska Model Protocols and hospital policies and procedures independently collaboratively or under the supervision of paramedics physicians physician assistants or registered nurses and according to the scopes of practice allowed by the State of Nebraska and Good Samaritan Hospital.
- Provides assists with or participates in education for team members and community.
- Performs and ensures safe knowledgeable age-specific patient care in a holistic manner.
- Performs value-added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
:
Graduate of an approved EMS training program
*State license as an Emergency Medical Technician
*National Registry Certification and maintain
*Current BLS card - Accreditation: American Heart Association
*Current drivers license with an excellent driving history and be able to operate an ambulance in emergency situations
