Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Serves the bartenders by providing information/tools/supplies thats assists in the overall operation of the department; Stocks items before/during and after shifts. Assists servers and bartenders with cleaning stocking etc.; Delivers assistance to team with an upbeat positive manner. Maintains a clean work area as well as cleans up spills sweeps mops stocks etc.
Assists with room setup as needed.
- Moving and setting up tables and equipment for nightclub.
- Ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service experience.
- Acting as role model to other employees and always presenting oneself as a credit to Harrahs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains par levels of operating supplies and equipment. Ensures orders are checked in and placed in proper locations. Checks expiration dates and these items are checked in and reports items that are expired or about to expire.
- Ensures product is rotated to ensure items do not perish or expire.
- Ensures all items are clean and maintained such as carts mats floors drains spills etc.
- Ensures all health code standards are followed when using chemicals.
- Ensures sanitizing buckets are set up in each station allowing servers to clean their work areas as they go.
- Ensures all trash bins are removed and emptied and keeps trash from over flowing. Cleans these periodically as needed to avoid items from becoming foul smell.
- Maintains clean work areas sweeps and mops floors cleans drains.
- Assists with deep cleaning as well as cleaning and maintaining all equipment and coolers. Cleans spills.
- Ensures all employees have the tools and supplies they need to complete their job duties.
- Demonstrates just say yes behavior when taking care of employee needs.
- Follows standards for stocking rotating and storing all products.
- Follows inventory and stocking guidelines.
- Learns and demonstrates all performance standards.
- Knows and promotes customer events and programs and can provide accurate information to our guests.
- Arrives to work looking their personal best with proper attire on. Uniform clean and pressed with name tag and badge visible.
- Assists servers and Bartenders with tasks. Ensures both have the tools and items needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must pass background check.
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift including holidays and weekends.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work independently along with a team mentality.
- Must be able to bend twist turn push and pull as well as lift and carry above/below the shoulders a minimum of 50 lbs or more.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time or entire shift.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Is able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke high noise levels bright lights and dust.
- Must be able to read write speak and understand English.
- Must be able to maneuver around office areas effectively work in high traffic areas and responds to visual and aural cues.
