Job Summary
The Data and Systems Analyst for Seamless Alignment & Integrated Learning Support (SAILS) is responsible for managing and analyzing all program data to support the strategic goals of the SAILS team. As a key member of the SAILS Leadership Team this role provides analytical insights to inform programmatic decision-making identifies and resolves system inefficiencies and helps enhance the end-user experience for participating schools. The Analyst plays a critical role in driving innovation and implementing effective collaborative solutions.
This position may have the opportunity to work remote within the state of Tennessee but with periodic visits to the TBR System Office (Nashville TN) at the employees expense and potential travel to Tennessee TBR colleges may be necessary.
The salary range for this position is $69297-$86400 depending on qualifications.
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science/Statistics/Math or related field
3-5 years of experience in data analysis reporting or systems support preferably in an educational or institutional setting
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases and data warehousing.
Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI Tableau or similar platforms.
Strong Excel skills including advanced functions like pivot tables lookups and charts.
Familiarity with student information systems (e.g. Banner SLATE) and/or Learning Management Systems (e.g. D2L Blackboard).
Ability to clean organize and analyze datasets to support decision-making and institutional
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Data Analytics Information Systems Statistics or a related field.
Project management experience and/or certification (e.g. PMP Agile or Scrum) with a proven ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
Experience with both higher education and K12 data systems workflows and reporting structures.
Knowledge of education policy student success metrics and institutional effectiveness
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Learning management systems and other instructional technology
Secondary and higher education organizational structures in Tennessee
Tennessee Board of Regents mission and strategic plan
Data-informed decision-making practices
Skills:
Strong oral and written communication
Proficient with Apple/PC platforms
Proficient with office software/technology such as Microsoft Office Suite Google Drive and Adobe Professional; computer skills (word processing spreadsheets data entry);
interpersonal skills consistent with establishing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships
strong communication teaching and training skills.
