Job Description

Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) - a service provider working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is currently looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our office in London UK.

The role

As our new Senior Payroll Specialist in our Global Finance & Tax team youll be a part of a team consisting of 4 ambitious professionals. Your role will be to ensure consistency accuracy and compliance in our payroll processes and transactions. You will be operating the end-to-end payroll processes in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and partners.

You will be end to end involved in setting up new countries and entities alongside growth in the workforce to ultimately own and operate them on our global payroll platforms and systems.

You will be the subject matter expert to stakeholders in projects and ad hoc assignments across the organization supporting the People and Finance teams in payroll-related queries reconciliations and analysis.

The role will be based in London where you will be working closely with our local Senior Payroll Specialist and the wider Group Payroll team in Copenhagen.

Responsibilities will further consist of:

  • Prepare review and quality check of the monthly payroll input from our HR system (Workday) manual input sources such as Excel sheets and our shared payroll mailbox.
  • Process payroll transactions including new hires terminations variable payments employee changes wage garnishments and benefits.
  • Audit payroll data and reports for errors and resolve payroll issues.
  • Review analyze and improve the current payroll processes to leverage readiness for the global payroll structure.
  • Partner with Global Payroll Manager to design document and implement procedures to streamline the global payroll processes.
  • Deliver on demand payroll reports and to HR and Finance teams.
  • Assist with payroll projects such as M&A integrations and system implementations.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies with the accounting team.

You

We are looking for you who have 5 years of full-time experience from a similar position as well as experience with payroll within international companies. You are able to work independently being part of a team in a fast-paced environment where accuracy confidentiality teamwork and customer service are key. You are comfortable collaborating with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally and communicate well both verbally and in writing. You hold strong proficiency in managing a transactional based payroll and are able to seamlessly transition between manual and semi-automated processes.

We are also looking for the following in a candidate:

  • Experience in global stakeholder management.
  • A keen eye for detail to identify discrepancies and correct errors promptly.
  • A high-level in accuracy with solid analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in global payroll is essential experience in APAC payroll operations in particular.
  • Solid knowledge of local compliance and government institutions interfaces.
  • Appetite for taking the lead on internal payroll projects e.g. defining and mapping out payroll processes etc. to carry out successful implementation and operation.
  • Experience in Absence Management and experience with local compliance is a preference.
  • Ability to work independently and resourcefully.
