Our client is a well recognized Canadian manufacturer and distributor of high end retail goods across retailers in Canada and the USA. This is a newly created role that will report into the VP of finance and will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
The Role:
- Maintain and analyze standard costs (materials labor freight etc.).
Identify cost variances and support pricing/profitability models.
Collaborate with operations to improve cost efficiency.
Support inventory valuation and cost reporting.
Prepare cash flow forecasts and perform bank reconciliations.
Deliver variance and margin analysis at detailed levels.
The Ideal Candidate:
Degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA/CMA preferred or in progress
3 years in cost accounting preferably in manufacturing
Solid grasp of standard costing inventory and variance analysis
Strong Excel and ERP system skills
Clear communicator able to simplify complex financial concepts
