ABOUT THE SKATEROOM
At THE SKATEROOM we create art editions on skateboards in collaboration with the worlds most renowned contemporary artists. We use a portion of every sale to fund social skate projects that empower youth around the world.
Tasks
THE ROLE
Were looking for a creative curious and driven intern to help us research ideate and lay the groundwork for our next generation of products. Youll work closely with the Creative Director to explore whats possiblethinking beyond the board and helping shape the future of our product line.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct design research across categories (homeware fashion accessories etc.)
- Assist in trend analysis and competitor benchmarking
- Explore production techniques sustainable materials and manufacturers
- Support ideation and prototyping of new product ideas
- Create moodboards sketches and basic mock-ups
- Document research findings and present concepts to the team
- Work cross-functionally with the whole team
Requirements
WHO YOU ARE
- A design student or recent graduate (product industrial fashion etc.)
- Deeply curious and culturally attunedyoure on top of design fashion and art trends
- Strong visual communication skills (moodboards sketching presentation)
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools
- Organized and resourcefulyou know how to research and connect the dots
- Interested in design with a purpose and the intersection of art culture and social change
- Bonus: Familiarity with sustainable production or responsible sourcing
