Job Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a retail bank branch including customer service sales operations compliance and team performance. This role plays a key part in driving business growth by acquiring new customers deepening existing relationships and ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the branch.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Sales:
Drive branch performance to achieve sales targets across retail banking products (savings/current accounts. Insurance Gold Loan etc)
*Identify and implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
*Develop and maintain relationships with high-value clients and local businesses.
2. Customer Service & Relationship Management:
Ensure superior customer service standards at the branch.
Resolve complex customer issues and complaints promptly.
Conduct regular customer feedback and satisfaction reviews.
3. Operational Excellence:
Oversee day-to-day branch operations in compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure audit readiness and implement corrective actions as needed.
Maintain high standards of risk management and operational control.
4. Team Leadership:
Lead motivate and develop a high-performing team of branch staff.
Set performance goals and monitor progress through regular reviews.
Organize training programs to enhance staff skills and product knowledge.
5. Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure strict adherence to AML KYC and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and mitigate operational risks through effective controls and reporting.
Collaborate with compliance and internal audit teams for regular assessments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree in Finance Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
*Minimum 6–10 years of experience in retail banking with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
*Strong knowledge of retail banking products operations and regulatory environment.
*Proven sales and customer relationship management skills.
*Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet performance targets .
