Identify critical items required for daily operations such as linens cleaning supplies toiletries and food and beverage items.
Set minimum and maximum (par) levels for each item to ensure you always have enough stock without over-purchasing which can lead to waste or tied-up capital.
Develop procurement policies and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality products.
Upon delivery inspect and properly store items in designated areas to maintain organization and prevent loss or damage.
Use inventory management software to automate reordering when stock levels drop below the set minimum reducing manual intervention and risk of shortages.
Conduct frequent physical inventory checks (daily weekly or monthly) to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies between actual and recorded inventory.
Maintain accurate daily logs of stock movements (in and out) to track usage and detect anomalies early.
Utilize hotel inventory management software to monitor stock levels in real time receive alerts for low inventory and generate reports for analysis.
Review past usage and compare it with current business levels to forecast future needs and adjust ordering accordingly.
Regularly inspect items for quality and usability especially for linens and housekeeping supplies to ensure guest satisfaction.
Implement inventory management systems to streamline processes reduce errors and save time.
Adjust minimum and maximum levels based on seasonal demand or special events.
Previous experience in inventory management preferably in the hospitality sector.
Bachelor s degree in any relevant field is required; additional certification in supply chain or logistics is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word Outlook) and familiarity with inventory management software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Knowledge or interest in environmental management practices is desirable.
Working Conditions
May require lifting carrying and moving inventory items.
Primarily in storage areas; occasional interaction with other departments.
Full Time
