Aviation Logistics has an exciting opportunity for an Operations & Charter Co-ordinator to join our team in Darwin.
We are one of Australias largest General Aviation businesses operating aircraft under the Air Link AirMed and Chartair brands. Air Link and Chartair have been serving regional communities in NSW and the NT since 1974 while AirMed is celebrating its 30th year in aeromedical operations.
Combined the group operate more than 70 aircraft ranging from small single and twin engine aircraft to twin turbo-prop and jet aircraft. Aviation Logistics also owns Air Link Engineering a Part 145 maintenance provider.

These roles will report to Operations Managers at Air Link and Chartair and will play an important role in growing our operations through a proactive can-do approach. Previous experience in aviation operations while not mandatory is highly regarded.
You will need to:
- Bring a positive can-do attitude focused on identifying solutions to complex issues while ensuring our customer experience exceeds expectations.
- Respond in a timely courteous and friendly manner to client charter and airline flight enquiries and provide quotations to clients.
- Provide check-in and ground handling services for Air Links scheduled airline flights.
- FBO or meet & greet services for outbound and inbound charter flights.
- Co-ordinate Flight Operations ensuring optimum use of assets (aircraft and aircrew and crews) ensuring aircrew roster and actual taskings follow pilot flight and duty time restrictions in accordance with Company and CASA regulations.
- In conjunction with Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) and Chief Engineer monitor aircraft hours and plan as efficiently as possible aircraft maintenance schedules.
- Communicate aircraft maintenance schedules with the Chief Engineer or CAM and Chief Pilot or designate to enable efficient rostering of aircrew and ensure adequate levels of availability of aircrew for both scheduled and unscheduled or anticipated business demands.
- Oversee and maintain charter passenger bookings aircraft planning and aircraft maintenance records in Take Flite to ensure accurate visibility assets and their location.
- Ensure accurate records of all flights are recorded including preparation and collation of aircraft flight logs for preparation of invoicing and financial reports.
- Issue invoices as required from Take Flite as requested by the Operations Manager.
- Excellent time management skills and remarkable communication skills are required. Personable skills to relate to the customer are extremely important listening to their requirements and offering solutions sometimes that might be outside the box.
- Be part of an on-call roster covering 24/7 duties answer on-call phone and convert new charter enquiries.
- Have a high capacity to work independently but still be very much a part of a small and dynamic team.
- High knowledge and capability in computer programs and IT skills experience using HubSpot and TakeFlite platforms an advantage.
- Previous flight operations experience including fleet management and maintenance planning an advantage.
- You will be required to undergo a medical check drug and alcohol test police checks WWCC and an ability to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card. A valid drivers license will be required.
- Assist in preparation of documents and reports to management and interested third parties.
