Our team requires a new Logistics Coordinator based in Portland to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities including receiving storing stocktaking pulling packing and shipping materials supplies tools equipment and parts in the warehouse. The role requires implementing and/or maintaining productivity quality and client service standards and achieving the appropriate level of volume within time limits.
Duties
WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
- Comply with safety regulations and procedures
- Receive inventory into the warehouse from regular container arrivals
- Coordinate order fulfilment i.e. picking and packing
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load pack wrap label ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick unload label store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets trays racks and shelves by hand and/or forklift
- Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Count weigh and record number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
- Contribute to planning the layout of warehouse and other storage areas considering turnover size weight and related factors of items stored.
- Follow and contribute to procedures on care and preservation of items received stored and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling storing maintaining and shipping stock; and related problems.
ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
- Perform data entry for management of Purchase Orders
- Line item checking to match paperwork with physical items
- Write consignment notes
- Perform filing and archiving tasks including both paper and electronic documents
- Support the Operations team with freight forwarding duties as directed by Manager
Skills and Attributes
POSITION SPECIFIC SKILLS
- Proficient (or ability to become proficient) with Crane Worldwide systems (PO Management Kewill C-View etc)
- Prior experience in a Warehouse Operations (min 3 years)
- Current forklift license
